Cape Town will be represented at Indaba by a collective of key tourism players from the region, led by The City of Cape Town. Cllr Pascoe, said the City would be joined by its partners Cape Town Tourism, the South African National Parks, the Big 6 Attractions and the province’s official trade promotion agency, Wesgro. Staying relevant by keeping up with future trends will be a key focus at this year’s ITB tourism trade show in Berlin, set to draw some 170,000 visitors between 6 and 10 March 2013. After nine years as CEO of Cape Town Tourism, Mariette du Toit-Helmbold has announced that she has decided not to renew her contract with the tourism organisation for another term.
The City of Cape Town recently confirmed a three year tourism marketing and visitor services mandate for Cape Town Tourism, securing its financial and strategic future.
