Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence, the latest addition to South Africa’s upper-upscale Radisson Blu portfolio, officially celebrated its opening, treating Cape Town’s A-list media, influencers, valued partners and even the lucky winner of a social media contest, to a truly unique and memorable evening.

From the hand delivered invitation, accompanied by a key housed inside a clear pyramid, guests were ignited with mystery. Four black boxes, containing a secret prize, were placed in various locations within the hotel, encouraging guests to experience and familiarize themselves with the seven elegant and stylish spaces within the modern meeting and conference rooms that composed the function’s venue. Guests were to utilize their keys to attempt opening the boxes which would claim one of the following four prizes:

  • A trip for two to Turkey, including round trip flights in Turkish Airlines as well as five nights stay and breakfast at the Radisson Blu Bosphorus Hotel in Istanbul
  • Diamond earrings valued at R10 000, courtesy of Diamond Gallery
  • A spa day for two in the Signature Journey of the winner’s choice, generously provided by Amani Spas
  • A two-night stay, including breakfast for two people at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence, Cape Town.

One of the rooms provided a sensorial experience in which guests utilized their special gift given on arrival, a hand made teleidoscope that they could use inside this special room, allowing them to deconstruct the surroanding area into shapes, colors, and lights, to creatively experience the space from another view and see it through the Blu eyes.

Officially opening its doors on 01 April 2017, Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence is a testament to the hotel brand being driven by innovation and design with every inch beautifully crafted and the building’s award winning architecture. As the city is known for its iconic deep blue ocean views and mountainous landscapes, the interior design and décor pays a special homage towards these natural elements as well as the Art Deco design language.
