Marketing Services Update – January 2013

January 2013 was the best month that we have ever experienced in terms of website traffic with almost 100 000 unique visitors to our website. The only previous month where we have achieved higher traffic was June 2010. This is a result of a more focused content strategy which involves updating content more regularly across all our platforms. We were also delighted to announce the winners of our Facebook campaign and to see that we exceeded all the targets that we had set for ourselves in terms of the campaign. Our international winner, who is from Canada, had already booked herself a trip to Cape Town as a result of playing the game.  We hosted 8 international media groups predominantly from the UK and Ireland and h=did a very successful local hosting with YFM focused on the J&B Met.

The team is also very busy with planning for ITB; Indaba and our winter campaign.  We are also relooking the model for our visitors guide and are in the process of going out to tender for our E-marketing service provider.  February 2013 is going to be a very busy planning month as our 3 year business plans will need to be submitted to the City by the end of the month.
