Locals know that the cooler months in Cape Town allow for great outdoor adventures, good food and wine, and cosy relaxation; so, together with our partners and industry members, Cape Town Tourism will be giving domestic visitors a thousand reasons to take in the green season in the Mother City with our Love Cape Town City Breaks winter campaign:

Thompsons Holidays are offering a series of value-added, specially curated Love Cape Town City Breaks packages that began on 1 May and run until the end of September 2013. These bite-sized domestic packages unlock the lure of Cape Town’s adventure and outdoor scene, as well as an engaging gourmet offering and abundant creativity – all at the most affordable rates.

The packages include weekend travel packages for major events in the city, and mystery weekend packages in which travellers receive two surprise experiences on booking. The limited offer deals will depart Johannesburg and Durban, with luxury and budget options depending on the traveller’s requirements. Packages may include return flights to Cape Town, airline levies, two days’ car hire, two nights’ accommodation, and meals where specified.

Love Cape Town City Breaks packages will be promoted through a variety of channels, including in Thompsons and SAA advertisements, in their newsletters and on their websites, Facebook and Twitter pages, on Talk Radio 702 and on pole posters in Johannesburg.

Amazing Member Deals are special offers by Cape Town Tourism members for May-September 2013. Deals can be submitted directly to the Amazing Member Deals webpage and are bookable through all of Cape Town Tourism’s channels.

We’ll be amplifying our message that Cape Town offers adventure and value throughout winter via social media with the #LoveCapeTown hashtag, as well as informative articles on our blog.

And, for the first time, we will release a printed broadsheet with details of the Love Cape Town City Breaks cosy winter deals and a map of Cape Town central streets for visitors. Broadsheets will be available from Cape Town Tourism Visitor Information Centres, Thompsons Holidays offices, Mango in-flight magazines and at upcoming events in Cape Town.

Keep uploading your deals to the Amazing Member Deals webpage and hand visitors and locals a printed Cape Town Tourism broadsheet.

Help us spread the word that Cape Town offers unforgettable weekends of exploration by directing travellers to Cape Town Tourism’s website and the Amazing Member Deals webpage.
