Indaba 2014: Prospectus

Indaba - one of the largest tourism marketing events on the African calendar - is taking place at the Albert Luthuli Convention Centre (ICC) in Durban for three days from 10-12 May 2014. 
This trade event attracts over 13,000 delegates from travel and tourism related industries presenting an opportunity to showcase Cape Town’s tourism offering and to promote year-round business with local and international trade.
Cape Town Tourism has secured prime space on the Wesgro stand in the DEC Hall and we are offering our members two key opportunities to join us on this excellent platform:

• Exhibitor package @ R7,000.00pp:  8 places available
• Rover package @ R800.00pp:  15 places available

Criteria for participants:
Our selection criteria will include tourism products that support the multi-faceted experiences and offerings of Cape Town.  The alignment of your product with the two key themes of Responsible Tourism and Design, in light of Cape Town’s designation as World Design Capital 2014, will be given additional consideration. 
Furthermore we would consider products from the various sectors within the tourism industry in order to represent the full offering, i.e. 2 x accommodation providers, 2 x food & wine offering, 4 x tours/transport & activities.
Qualifying criteria:
• Your business should be operating for at least 2 years (CTT exhibitor) and 1 year (CTT Rover)
• You need to be a paid up member of CTT
• You are required to have established marketing tools i.e. brochure and website
• Clear alignment with CTT objectives and offering

Package 1: CTT Exhibitor
Offer:  8 CTT Exhibitor packages available at R7 000.00 (excl VAT) each
• 1 desk on the CTT section of the Wesgro stand (estimated at 4sqm per exhibitor)
• 1 x branding opportunity on desk
• 2 x exhibitor entry badges
• Allocated space in main storage area
• Invites to the exhibitor networking sessions
• Inclusion of product info in digital format on CTT digital press packs
• Opportunity to include product giveaways in the CTT activations
• Mention in the CTT Indaba blog
• Sharing of database of contacts collected at the CTT section on the stand
• Input and access to CTT post-Indaba report with key findings

Package 2: CTT Rover
Offer:  15 CTT Rover packages available at R800.00 (excl VAT) each
• 1 x CTT Rover entry badge
• Referrals by CTT on enquiry
• Allocated space in main storage area
• Invites to the exhibitor networking sessions

Application process
Please compile an Application Letter that includes:
• Your business profile
• Contact details including website address
• Your package preference (CTT Exhibitor or Rover)
• A short motivation to attend Indaba 2014 and showing alignment with the themes.

Email your application letter to by 24 January 2014. Successful applicants will be notified by email in the first week of February 2014.
Final selection will be done by a selection committee and the selection is final and attendance is not-transferable.  Payment is due to CTT by 15 March 2014 to secure participation.

• Accommodation, flights and freight of collateral is not included in the above costs and are for the participants own arrangement and account
• Branding artwork and digital brochures need to be supplied to CTT according to the specific criteria and deadlines
• Location of booth is predetermined and cannot be negotiated.
• SAT Attendance regulations need to be adhered to
• Payments are due by 15 March 2014
