Incident at Cape Town International Airport - 28 May 2014
Cape Town Tourism was shocked and saddened by the fatal shooting in a public area of Cape Town International Airport yesterday evening.
Deidre Davids, Communications Manager for Airports Company South Africa and Cape Town International Airport has confirmed that three other people were injured. Cape Town International Airport has handed over investigation of the events surrounding last night’s shooting to SAPS.
We feel confident that this incident is not an indication of any security threat to would-be visitors or travellers. All operations at the airport are going on as per usual and none of the flights have been affected.
