City of Cape Town hosts Responsible Tourism Week

The global initiative, Responsible Tourism Week, is taking place from 10 to 16 February 2014.

This week-long initiative is dedicated to creating better places for people to live in, and for travelers to visit. During this time, the Cape Town community is encouraged to explore and brainstorm the practical application of sustainable tourism and to make use of local resources. Ultimately, the aim is to create tourism that benefits enterprise, individuals and the environment.

As usual, the City of Cape Town will again be participating in this initiative by hosting a number of workshops throughout the week, involving the community and various educational institutions.

The key dialogue will take place on Thursday, 13 February from 15:00 to 17:00. During this event, the City will be linking up with, the organisation that created and hosts this event each year, for a live Skype session.
