Indaba 2014: Prospectus

Indaba - one of the largest tourism marketing events on the African calendar - is taking place at the Albert Luthuli Convention Centre (ICC) in Durban for three days from 10-12 May 2014. 
This trade event attracts over 13,000 delegates from travel and tourism related industries presenting an opportunity to showcase Cape Town’s tourism offering and to promote year-round business with local and international trade.

A number of developments in the wider environment have placed the spotlight firmly on the issue of Universal Accessibility (UA). The Tourism Grading Council of South Africa has introduced UA guidelines into the grading criteria for accommodation establishments; the Building Council has introduced mandatory requirements and the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) regards it as both a human rights imperative, and an exceptional business opportunity.
