Indaba 2014: Prospectus

Indaba - one of the largest tourism marketing events on the African calendar - is taking place at the Albert Luthuli Convention Centre (ICC) in Durban for three days from 10-12 May 2014. 
This trade event attracts over 13,000 delegates from travel and tourism related industries presenting an opportunity to showcase Cape Town’s tourism offering and to promote year-round business with local and international trade.
Cape Town Tourism has secured prime space on the Wesgro stand in the DEC Hall and we are offering our members two key opportunities to join us on this excellent platform.

#LoveCapeTown creates an online buzz once again

Building on the very successful #LoveCapeTown results of 2012, Cape Town Tourism celebrated Tourism Month with another exciting campaign to shine the spotlight on all that the Mother City has to offer. During this year’s campaign #LoveCapeTown appeared in twitter users’ timelines more than 51.8 million times -  a growth of 52% compared to last year. #LoveCapeTown was also used very successfully on other social media platforms like Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and a variety of blogs.

Meet our iAmbassadors

In August 2012, Cape Town Tourism hosted four top international bloggers as Cape Town iAmbassadors. The campaign, called #LoveCapeTown, connected the millions of readers who follow the highly respected bloggers and reached more than a million unique users last year. #LoveCapeTown appeared in twitter users’ timelines 34 million times and the campaign crossed over into blogs, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest successfully.
