Building on the very successful #LoveCapeTown results of 2012, Cape Town Tourism celebrated Tourism Month with another exciting campaign to shine the spotlight on all that the Mother City has to offer. During this year’s campaign #LoveCapeTown appeared in twitter users’ timelines more than 51.8 million times - a growth of 52% compared to last year. #LoveCapeTown was also used very successfully on other social media platforms like Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and a variety of blogs.Read more
In August 2012, Cape Town Tourism hosted four top international bloggers as Cape Town iAmbassadors. The campaign, called #LoveCapeTown, connected the millions of readers who follow the highly respected bloggers and reached more than a million unique users last year. #LoveCapeTown appeared in twitter users’ timelines 34 million times and the campaign crossed over into blogs, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest successfully.Read more
Cape Town Tourism hosted a Market Insight Information Session on 27 June 2013, to showcase the results of three local research studies and to encourage participation in them. Cape Town Tourism and the City of Cape Town are investing in research as an asset to deliver market intelligence to our members and the tourism industry.Read more
We hosted a series of very successful Coffee & Connect sessions at our Burg Street Visitor Information Centre during May and June, where over 80 members got to connect with each other and the Cape Town Tourism team. Members could opt to book a table to present their products or simply join us for coffee and a chat.Read more
After an extensive and competitive recruitment process, the new CEO of Cape Town Tourism has been announced as Enver Duminy. The appointment was announced at the City of Cape Town’s Tourism, Events and Marketing Portfolio Committee meeting and will take effect on 1 August 2013.Read more
