We interacted with just over 24 000 visitors via our VIC network for February 2013. This is 2% lower than February 2012. There is a shift between international and domestic visitors, with the majority of visitors now being from international markets. A total of 61% of visitors were from the international market, and 39% from domestic market.Read more

International Responsible Travel Week took place from 11 to 17 February in the form of a friendly “unconference”, attended virtually by thousands of individuals from the tourism industry. January 2013 was the best month that we have ever experienced in terms of website traffic with almost 100 000 unique visitors to our website. The only previous month where we have achieved higher traffic was June 2010. This is a result of a more focused content strategy which involves updating content more regularly across all our platforms.Read more
46 SMME’s were assisted by our Industry Business Support Consultant and the team enjoyed interacting with and assisting approximately 275 members during the month. The team also dealt with 11 Visitor Complaints and engaged with our members to resolve these.Read more
