Charlie Chaplin once said “A day without laughter is a day wasted.”

And Bay Harbour is definitely not wasting Wednesday 1 August 2012 to lift your spirits as it opens its inaugural Bay Harbour Comedy Supper Club showcasing three of South Africa’s favourite comedians that need no introduction, Rob van Vuuren, Mum-z and Marc Lottering.

And we all know that "laughter is brightest, in the place where the food is” so all the usual food traders will be open from 6pm for show-goers to enjoy a mouth-watering supper prior to and during the show including the Boom Bar, which will be serving a full spectrum of wine, spirits and the largest selection of draught beer in Cape Town. And, of course, don’t forget the huge fireplace, which is one of the signatures of Bay Harbour, which will be roaring.

In line with their vision of supporting the local community, Bay Harbour will be donating all proceeds from the show to Hout Bay CARES a sustainable community project working with people in Hangberg and Imizamo Yethu struck by poverty and drug-abuse. HOUT BAY C.A.R.E.S stands for Community Awareness Rehabilitation Education Service and is managed by Non-Profit Organisation, FavorSA..  Viola, Queen of the Bay, will be there in all her glory helping collect funds, as she has been doing on behalf of CARES for the past several months.

Doors open at 6h00pm, show starts at 7h30pm - early bird tickets cost R60 and are available from the Boom Bar at Bay Harbour Market during normal trading hours from Friday 13 July;  or otherwise  R70 at the door. Make sure you get there early as seating is limited to  200 people, although there will be plenty of standing room.

The Bay Harbour Comedy Supper Club is the newest addition to the very popular Bay Harbour Market, which trades on Friday night for Friday Nite LIVE! From 5h00 pm to 9h00 pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 9.30 am to 4 pm.
