There are daily direct flights between Cape Town and London, making it easy to get to TripAdvisor’s Traveller’s Choice Destination of the Year 2011. Airlines to consider for these direct flights include Virgin Atlantic and British Airways.

Return flights between London and Cape Town start from around £550, depending on the season and how far in advance you book, and flying time from Heathrow is approximately 12 hours.

From Ireland or Scotland, it is just as quick to fly via Amsterdam with KLM, with daily direct flights available on this route.

Cape Town is also just a two-hour flight from Johannesburg, which takes direct flights from a much wider range of cities.
