Cape Town is the gourmet capital of Africa, and is home to a wide range of fine restaurants and eateries, food markets and delis. It's also a great place to take a cookery class. You can either choose to do a short course, or something longer at a proper culinary school.

Many of the country's top chefs are based in Cape Town and many restaurants in the city and in the nearby towns of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek and surrounds are repeatedly voted the top in the country in various awards.

Silwood awards the internationally accepted Silwood Grande Diplome after three years of training.
