Academic Institutions
Cape Town has three public universities: the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), the University of Cape Town (UCT) and the University of the Western Cape (UWC). Additionally, Stellenbosch University, outside Cape Town, has additional campuses such as the Tygerberg Faculty of Health Sciences and the Bellville Business Park closer to the city.

This initiative by Concept Interactive sets out to encourage overseas designers in the creative industries, as well as design students and interns, to make Cape Town their preferred destination since the city has been proclaimed World Design Capital 2014. The intention of this initiative is to promote the diversity of African heritage, art and culture, along with the opportunity to further digital design skills.
