The world's most beautiful marathon
Cape Town hosted the 2012 Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon on April 7, 2012.
The 56km ultra-marathon took participants on a wet run along Chapman’s Peak, Hout Bay and Constantia Nek, while those doing the 21km half marathon got soaked running through the leafy suburb of Constantia. In the end Stephen Muzhingi of Zimbabwe won in a time of 3:08, while Elena Nurgalieva of Russia was the first woman home, claiming her fourth Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon title.
