Founded in 1914, it is the most active and multi-functional orchestra on the African continent and covers many festivals, concerts and all genres of music from ballets to symphonic pop.

With a vision to showcase the diverse communities, cultures and peoples of the city and the country, the annual Cape Town Carnival is fast becoming one of the year’s biggest attractions. The parade makes its way along the Cape Town Fan Walk which runs through the vibrant suburb of Green Point, neighbour to the CBD.
