With its beautiful landscapes, buzzing city life and cosmopolitan vibe, Cape Town is one of the best locations in the world to stage an event of any kind – and the city has earned an array of accolades and awards to prove it.
In 2009, the Guardian (UK) named Cape Town their second favourite overseas city, and Travel+Leisure magazine voted Cape Town the world’s number two city – high praise indeed.
In the same year, South Africa’s Mother City was named the world’s best incentive destination by Conference & Incentive Travel magazine. At the Luxury Travel Awards, Cape Town won the world’s best entertainment/lifestyle destination award, and at the Al Tourism Investor awards (also in 2009) Cape Town was named the best tourism investor city of the year.
