Convention & Events Bureau

The Cape Town and Western Cape Convention Bureau is committed to marketing Cape Town and the Western Cape as South Africa’s premier conventions, meetings and incentives destination. The bureau can assist clients with all event-related administration, from conceptualising a bid strategy and producing a customised bid book, to planning delegates’ itineraries and co-ordinating site inspections and corporate and incentive events. We also offer relevant onsite event support and assist meeting planners to create a unique experience.

The Bureau also assists with sourcing ideas, venues, accommodation options and all related information.

Cape Town Tourism has partnerships with over 2 500 industry service providers which operate excellent venues, facilities and services across the city. The Convention Bureau works with these businesses to secure and successfully host world-class events and conferences.

Among the successful and varied conferences, exhibitions and congresses held in Cape Town have been the WWF International Congress, the World Energy Council Executive Assembly, the International Meeting of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Harvard Business School Global Alumni Conference, the World Congress of Anaesthesiology and the International Diabetes World Congress, with more than 12 000 delegates.

The Cape Town Convention Bureau is a certified member of the BestCities global network. The Bureau undergoes rigorous inspections and evaluations as part of the BestCities quality management system. This ensures excellent service in handling enquiries and managing a professional Convention Bureau.
