The Cape Canopy Tour in the in the Hottentots Holland Nature Reserve was recently named by Lonely Planet as the second best new attraction in the world, I have been desperate to experience since they began operating last year and recently got a chance. Suffice to say I was not disappointed.

I’m a movie buff with a passion for Cape Town and the outdoors like no other… so when I recently received an invitation to the launch of the V&A Waterfront’s new Galileo Open Air Cinema, there was no way I was going to turn it down.
And there’s me thinking I’d seen all the beautiful wine farms this amazing city of Cape Town has to offer. Think again Diva. Beau Constantia est arrivé (by the way, when I see French words like ‘beau’ and ‘ pas de nom’, I can’t help but throw my French about a bit).

The countdown for the switch on of Cape Town’s Festival of Lights began on Tuesday 19 November 2013, when the Executive Mayor of Cape Town, Patricia de Lille, was joined by Cape Town entertainers on Adderley Street for a successful test run of preparations ahead of the main event on 1 December 2013.
