Your #lovecapetown weekend: Things to do from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 May, 2014

Are you ready for an amazing weekend in our Mother City?

Don't miss the fantastic Show Boat the Musical at the Artscape Theatre in Cape Town this weekend only. Image courtesy of www.ctoshowboat.com

From magical musicals to thrilling sport matches and healthy living at organic markets, there is plenty to see and love in our amazing hometown.

Get out from under the covers and join me for the following events around Cape Town, from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 May, 2014:

Show Boat the musical

The larger-than-life musical, Show Boat, returns to the Artscape Theatre for a limited run this weekend.

Treat yourselves and your loved ones to this South African production of one of America’s first musicals with well-known hit songs and fabulous costumes and sets.

You all know how much I LOVE stage and this the perfect one to lose yourself in as the  tale of the old American South and the lives of the performers, stagehands, and dockworkers on the Cotton Blossom, a Mississippi River show boat, unfolds over a 40-year period.

Book your tickets at Computicket.

2014 Stormers Vs Western Force Super Rugby Match

Ok, I’ll admit the only things I adore more than a musical are hot rugby players and there will be plenty at this Saturday’s Stormers Vs Western Force Super Rugby match at Newlands Stadium.

This hang-onto-the-edge-of-your-seats match sees our boys face off against Australia’s Western Force.

Tickets are available at Ticketpros.

Yoga and Shopping at City Bowl Market

Find your inner peace and the week’s fresh veggies, all indoors, at the quaint City Bowl Market in Gardens.

Flex those muscles at the yoga class upstairs at 10am, then get all of the delicious goodness at the variety of food stalls downstairs,
