Your Guide to Creative Week 2013 in #LoveCapeTown
Fazielah Williams has lived in and loved her Mother City since birth. Having lived all over the Peninsula during her childhood, she now calls the picturesque City Bowl home and likes nothing more than watching the sun set over Table Bay from the window of her apartment.
A lover of the arts and proud Cape Town fanatic, Fazielah began her writing career by spending many hours as a child conjuring fantastical stories that featured independent heroines from faraway lands who saved the Prince instead. This Capetonian princess has enjoyed stints as a magical arts PRO and TV publicist before finding her calling as a travel writer.
When not waxing lyrical about the Fairest Cape’s most loved attractions and activities and embarking on unexpected adventures, Fazielah can usually be found taking in a show at one of the City’s fabulous theatres.
Can you feel the air brimming with innovative ideas and creativity in inspirational #LoveCapeTown? Yes, it’s that time of the year again…. Creative Week 2013 is coming to the Mother City!
From Saturday 14 to Sunday 22 September, 2013, the imaginative Creative Cape Town team are going to turn the city inside out with a variety of street art and outdoor exhibitions, demonstrations and lectures, parties and public space activations coordinated by the public.
A celebration of all things creative, innovative and cultural, Creative Week is the opening act for the prelude to the annual ground-breaking-ideas and ads event, the Loerie Awards, happening at the Cape Town International Convention Centre on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September, 2013.
With the Mother City rocking the global creative scene as World Design Capital 2014, and having just played host to Open Design Cape Town, what can we look forward to seeing at Creative Week? Well, how about:

Walking around the township , admiring the artwork with Juma and Shani Judes of SJ Artists will give you quite the appetite so don’t forget to take some cash for a traditional 'shisa nyama' meal at Khayelitsha’s very own Tamara’s Food.
