Cape Town Tourism launched its new international marketing campaign last night at its seventh annual general meeting.

Guests were asked to share how Cape Town inspires them.
In her opening remarks Cape Town Mayor Patricia de Lille said: “We need to attract new travellers in new ways to Cape Town. We cannot rely on tried and tested old ways.” She said that Cape Town “is more than a holiday destination, it’s a beautiful way of life”.
Wendy Ackerman, renowned humanitarian and businesswoman, said “Cape Town is the cradle of inspiration”.
Cape Town Tourism CEO Mariette du Toit-Helmbold said cities are the super-brands of the future, and the world’s cities are the new tourism battleground.
