Wonderful Waterfront – A Cape Town Tourism photo essay

Our Cape Town. Live it. Love it. Flickr group member adiedonoghue shares his experiences of a recent visit to the V&A Waterfront

This is the first time I have been to Cape Town and I really enjoyed the thriving and busy waterfront with the live entertainment and hospitable Cape Town residents. The signpost made me think of CapeTown's multiculturalism. After a two-week visit, I want to come back!

I dont know the names of these guys, but I do have one question: How do the people of South Africa have so much musical talent? Every performance or group I saw at the waterfront was amazing!

The skyline was very striking with the low clouds and moody colours. With the Wheel of Excellence Ferris wheel in the background and the many pleasure boats that were moored, it was a picture I was drawn to take.

The telescope simply reminded me of my childhood visiting the seaside resorts in England. I set my F-stop so I could also capture wonderful Table Mountain as a backdrop.

I was fascinated by this boat at the waterfront and the wonderful mix of both maritime and tourist activity.

Do you have images of Cape Town you’d like to share with us? We’d love you to join the Cape Town. Live it. Love it. Flickr group
