John says, “There are many mountain biking events organised around the Western Cape, and in particular around the Cape Town area. In January, Dirtopia organised the annual Weisenhof 24-Hour Mountain Bike Challenge, contested by both teams and individuals riding solo. The venue is near Stellenbosch and the scenery is spectacular, the riding challenging.”
