Where Would You Rather Be Wednesdays: top foodie spots with fireplaces in Cape Town

There is just something about the cooler weather in inspirational Cape Town that makes me wish I was at one of her top foodie spots, enjoying the warmth of a fireplace this Wednesday.

Several delectable establishments where I’d rather be indulging my Hump Day cravings come to mind, but if I absolutely had to choose I’d say:

Lunch

Pop by the Harbour House at the V&A Waterfront for their stunning views of the Table Bay Harbour, the Mother City’s oldest working harbour, their affordable winter specials and of course, that gorgeous fireplace that warms you to the bone.

Dinner

Madame Zingara’s quirky Café Paradiso restaurant in trendy Kloof Street is the perfect spot to catch up with loved ones over a delicious meal, in front of their blazing hearth. Their set menu, for just R155 person, is filled with scrumptious goodies, including free-range rosemary chicken and oh-so-sweet crème brulée … yummy!

Nightcaps

Stay warm with a hearty fire and sweet cocktails at the fiery Rick’s Café American in Gardens, before heading down to Long Street for a night of dancing and fun.
