Whale Watching – Flickr pic of the day
This photograph was taken at False Bay during whale season. During spring and winter southern right whales can be seen migrating up the African coastline to warmer waters where they mate and calve. When summer comes the whales migrate south with calves in tow to feed in the colder plankton-rich waters off Antarctica.
