Welcome the World Party in full swing

The Welcome the World Party in Cape Town is well under way and the FIFA Fan Fest™ area on the Grand Parade had almost reached capacity at 15h00.
The vibe in Cape Town is incredible and 2010 FIFA World Cup™ spirit has definitely arrived in the Mother City, with football fans from all over the world proudly displaying their colours as they meet and mingle in the streets.
At the FIFA Fan Fest™ area, some 15 000 fans were enjoying the live music on the big stage, as well as the excellent Cape Town weather.
Wouter Brandt, who comes from Holland and is studying in Cape Town, said he was having an amazing time. “Cape Town must be the coolest city in the world, there is such a great vibe here,” he said. “The people are so friendly and there is so much to do. I’m having a great time!”
Several top South African musicians and performers including Hip Hop Pantsula, JR, Kurt Darren, Soli Philander and Vicky Sampson will perform later.
