V&A Waterfront saxophonist – Flickr pic of the day

Blog Featured Image

This photo of a busker at the V&A Waterfront was taken by our Cape Town. Live it. Love it. group member Koeshke.

Koeshke says, “Yesterday I met Tuelo – a street artist at the V&A Waterfront. He was playing his saxophone and I sat down to listen to him. After a while, he stopped and chatted to me. He introduced himself as Daniel and said I could call him Danny.

“After chatting for a while, Danny asked me if he could name me. I said yes, of course – it is the highest honour a Tswana person can bestow on someone from another race. He named me Nobuthle, meaning ‘the beautiful one’.

“Danny’s real name turned out to be Tuelo, meaning ‘payment for a good deed’. Tuelo and I are now family. Seldom in my life have I been this honoured.”
