Twelve Apostles’ Chocolate Tea by Sea experience in Cape Town: 5 sweet pics you cannot resist
Fazielah Williams has lived in and loved her Mother City since birth. Having lived all over the Peninsula during her childhood, she now calls the picturesque City Bowl home and likes nothing more than watching the sun set over Table Bay from the window of her apartment.
A lover of the arts and proud Cape Town fanatic, Fazielah began her writing career by spending many hours as a child conjuring fantastical stories that featured independent heroines from faraway lands who saved the Prince instead. This Capetonian princess has enjoyed stints as a magical arts PRO and TV publicist before finding her calling as a travel writer.
When not waxing lyrical about the Fairest Cape’s most loved attractions and activities and embarking on unexpected adventures, Fazielah can usually be found taking in a show at one of the City’s fabulous theatres.
Hi, I’m Fazielah and I’m a chocoholic … it’s been one miserable dear -heavens- I -need -a -fix week since my last sweet taste of cocoa nirvana at the Twelve Apostles Hotel&Spa ’s decadent Chocolate Tea by the Sea experience and I am dying for more!
Chocolate just makes everything better, especially chilly weather so this winter, the award-winning Twelve Apostles Hotel in Camps Bay is putting its own spin on it by hosting its affordable high tea daily in its Leopard Bar and The Conservatory restaurant until Thursday 31 July, 2014.
With its amazing views of the Atlantic Oceans and the mountain range and kitsch mini-library, The Conservatory was the ideal indoor winter activity spot for my best friend and I to tuck into our heavy laden-with-goodies tea tray on a rainy Sunday afternoon.
Everything we could ever want and more, from chocolate éclairs to brownies; milk chocolate pannacotta; scones and cream; beautifully decorated mint chocolate cupcakes; salmon, cucumber and chicken mayo finger sandwiches; orange and chocolate macaroons and more were artistically arranged on a silver serving tray. All we needed to do was choose a hot beverage (they offer all kinds of tea and great coffee too) to accompany our treats and we were set for what was an extremely tasty bonding session.
As a slave to my chocolate addiction, I’m quite fussy about where and how I feed my cravings… the Twelve Apostles Hotel&Spa‘s sugary offering definitely meets my approval!
Don’t just take my word for it ... seeing is believing so feast your greedy little eyes on these sweeties:
