Top 2013 Halloween Events in Cape Town

Are you ready for a frightfully fun week of Halloween events in #lovecapetown, friends? I sure am!

So much so, that I’ve rounded up my top scary events for you. Now, before some of you get all culturally correct on me and say that Old Hallow’s Eve is not a South African celebration, let me say that dressing up in spooky costumes and having a good time is a universal activity and one the Mother City fully intends to enjoy.

From ghoulish zombie walks to medieval theatrical marathons and waking-the-dead dance parties  there is plenty  happening to scare you silly in our hometown this week so join me at the following heart-stopping events:

For the undead fanatics:

Zombie Walk 2013

The smell of rotting flesh and fear is in the air this Saturday evening as the ever popular Zombie Walk takes over the Company’s Garden.

When you’ve had your fill of living humans, join the epic after party or stop by the fabulously eerie restaurant, The Crypt for a ghostly nightcap.

For the thespians with a morbid sense of humour:

ImproGuise’s Soapathon

Laugh until you cry with the hilarious cast of ImproGuise as they raise funds for the worthy Rape Crisis and celebrate their 21st birthday with a 15 hour improv theatre marathon, the Soapathon, at the Little Theatre in Gardens.

This year’s theme is Medieval-Fantasy so yes, you Game of Thrones - Terry Pratchett – Camelot groupies, you’ll get to see the über talented guys and girls , there’ll be plenty of make-believe bloody murders, scandalous affairs and tales of revenge.

The Rocky Horror Show

While this astounding production heats up Cape Town’s entertainment scene nightly with its outrageous costumes, characters and more, there is a special Halloween dress up night.
