The opening ceremony of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ – A Cape Town Tourism Photo Essay
The 2010 FIFA World Cup™ is officially under way! The opening ceremony exploded with colour and true football fever shortly after 14h00 local time. Hundreds of performers took to the field, which will be the location of the opening match between South Africa and Mexico at Soccer City in Soweto in just a few moments. The opening ceremony payed tribute to each of the participating nations, but was a truly South African celebration.
