The chase is on at Hout Bay – Flickr pic of the day
John says, “I have lived in Hout Bay for the past seven years. Hout Bay is still a small enough community and very often you bump into someone that you know and end up chatting. The beach is my favourite place for connecting with people, relaxing or even doing a bit of excercise. It’s great that the dogs are allowed on the beach, even if there are time restrictions. It makes the beach more of a family place.
“This image has a lot of character and shows what Hout Bay has to offer.
“With the ever-changing weather, the opportunities for photography are endless. Most of my photography is done between Hout Bay and Cape Town along the beautiful coastline past Llandudno. The sky is always different, as is the light, and the changing ocean mood just adds to it.
“The West Coast is my next favourite place to photograph. I really don’t get there often enough – I need to make more plans,” he says.
Do you have images of Cape Town you’d like to share with us? We’d love you to join the Cape Town. Live it. Love it. Flickr group!
