The countdown to the Cape Town Festival of Beer 2012 begins!
Fazielah Williams
Fazielah Williams has lived in and loved her Mother City since birth. Having lived all over the Peninsula during her childhood, she now calls the picturesque City Bowl home and likes nothing more than watching the sun set over Table Bay from the window of her apartment.
A lover of the arts and proud Cape Town fanatic, Fazielah began her writing career by spending many hours as a child conjuring fantastical stories that featured independent heroines from faraway lands who saved the Prince instead. This Capetonian princess has enjoyed stints as a magical arts PRO and TV publicist before finding her calling as a travel writer.
When not waxing lyrical about the Fairest Cape’s most loved attractions and activities and embarking on unexpected adventures, Fazielah can usually be found taking in a show at one of the City’s fabulous theatres.

It’s time to raise the frosted glasses Mother City fans, and toast to the imminent arrival of the Cape Town Festival of Beer 2012!
Taking place at Hamilton’s Rugby Club in Green Point from November 23 to 25, 2012, this year’s festival is set to blow dedicated beer lovers away.
Think of it as the ultimate brewery nirvana… everywhere you look, there will be 150 premium brews on offer, workshops led by top brewers, home-brewing demonstrations and, wait for it ... beer Olympics!
No need to worry about missing the rugby game – there will be huge screens at the festival for you to enjoy the game. Moms and dads can feel free to bring the little ones along as there will be a dedicated child-minding and entertainment area managed by qualified staff.
The Cape Town Festival of Beer, now in its third year, is South Africa’s largest annual gathering of beer enthusiasts, connoisseurs and beginners and is sponsored by brewing giant, Carling. There will be a variety of micro-breweries on site, which will introduce festival goers to their as yet undiscovered delights.
