Taste of Cape Town 2014 in Pictures
Carla was born in Durban but is a loyal Capetonian. Obsessed with craft beer and Cape wines, she is a passionate non-Capetonian, with a flair for writing and social media. Carla spent a lot of time living in London, trying to avoid the tube at all costs, and eventually made her way back to her beloved Mother City. Carla works as a social media strategist, and can often be found hanging around watering holes in the Cape Town area talking about how social media is the future of social responsibility and marketing.
This past weekend we attended the Pick 'n Pay Taste of Cape Town festival in Greenpoint. The event was a mix of local restaurants, pop-up restaurants, brewers, artisan producers, winemakers, premium drink brands and boutique foodie spots, along with some interactive experiences, where members of the public could learn skills, from making canapés to mixing their own cocktails.
The event also offered the opportunity to watch some of the city's top chefs in action at the Pick 'n Pay Chef's Theatre. The event took place from the 3 - 6 April 2014, and featured a number of different exhibitors on the open fields at Greenpoint Cricket Club, and was set against the backdrop of the Greenpoint Stadium and iconic Lion's Head.
There were two sessions per day, and the event afforded attendees the opportunity to experience a variety of different flavours from all over Cape Town and South Africa.

We had a spectacular time this year at Taste of Cape Town, and will definitely be attending next year!
