Table Mountain sunset - Flickr pic of the day
Paul says: “I love living in Cape Town!
Cape Town is a unique destination. Where else can you experience a sunrise over one ocean and a sunset over another ocean on the same day? Where else can you experience the melting-pot of cultures, lifestyles and the breathtaking scenery that Cape Town has to offer? Where else can you find a mountain as beautiful as Table Mountain, a garden as beautiful as Kirstenbosch, and indigenous forests and plantations as beautiful as the Newlands, Cecilia and Tokai forests?
How many cities can boast that it has a national park only a few minutes’ walk from its business centre, including the smallest and richest floral kingdom in the world with over 9600 plant species, of which over 70 percent are found nowhere else on earth?
Where else can you visit six wine-regions on the same day, and sample over 2000 different wines produced from roughly 100000 hectares of vineyards? Where else can you find architecture as beautiful and unique as our Cape Dutch homesteads, and iconic historical symbols like the Company Gardens, District Six and Robben Island?
With our ideal climate, our beautiful unspoiled landscapes, and our abundance of indigenous flora and fauna, I truly believe that Cape Town offers tourists (and particularly photographers) the best of all worlds! We have everything that anyone could ever want… right here on our doorstep!
