Table Mountain slacklining video: Do not try this at home
Here’s a sunrise on Table Mountain like you’ve probably never seen it before. It seems a crew of slackliners descended on Cape Town to flaunt their highly dangerous but truly amazing art.
According to Wikipedia, slacklining is “a balance sport that uses nylon webbing tensioned between two anchor points. Slacklining is distinct from tightrope walking in that the line is not held rigidly taut (although it is still under some tension); it is instead dynamic, stretching and bouncing like a long and narrow trampoline.”
Watch as a few slackliners mission to the summit of Table Mountain to perform a few death-defying feats. Cape Town is a city of slackers? Well, OK, if you look at it this way ...
