The house DJ collective Swedish House Mafia is the latest acclaimed international music act headed to Cape Town. Clearly the southern tip of Africa is the place to be for lovers of good music!

This year has seen a string of the world’s most in-demand music acts announcing tours of Cape Town, including Lady Gaga, Linkin Park, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and now Swedish House Mafia.

The group, formed in 2008, consists of three DJ/producers: Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso. After initial success in their native Sweden, the group became popular across the globe with tracks such as Save the world, Greyhound and One (your name).

Since then the trio has gone on to win multiple awards, and as individuals each member has been lauded for their technical work, including all three being named in DJ magazine’s Top 100 DJ Poll in 2011.

Swedish House Mafia will play an afternoon gig on January 27, 2013, at the Cape Town Ostrich Ranch.

The gig forms part of Swedish House Mafia’s One Last Tour, which will see their final performances together. Sound like an offer you can’t refuse?
