St George’s Mall – Flickr pic of the day

This photograph of St George’s Mall in the city centre was taken by our Cape Town. Live it. Love it. group member Zurin Moses aka Zedsnotdead.

“This pic was taken on a typically sunny day in Cape Town city centre. The light coming through the trees adds to the atmosphere of this vibrant street. Though I’ve lived overseas now for the past 15 years, Cape Town will always be home. I hope to return for good someday soon,” says Zurin.

“There are so many things I love about Cape Town, but the one thing that makes it special is the people. A walk down St George’s Mall typifies Cape Town. There is always a smile and anecdote from a fruit seller to make you laugh and everyone seems to greet you with a warm, sincere smile.

“I have travelled a lot, but nowhere else in the world will you get a smile bigger than from a flower seller in Adderley Street. This is what I love about Cape Town – and the fact that it is one of the most scenic cities in the world,” he continues.
