Come and see the best views that Cape Town has to offer with the Cableway Family Winter Special. Mountain Aerial Cableway has announced that it is extending its Family Winter Special until the end of October. This is to allow all families to celebrate the cableway’s 80th birthday and make memories like generations of tourists before them.
Every two children under 18 accompanied by a full-paying adult will ride the cableway for free. The special is valid every day of the spring school holidays, from September 24 to October 4, including weekends and public holidays. The special adult ticket price is R145.00.
There’s also a great special offer for those wanting to explore their wild side. Visit any of the South African National Parks during National Parks Week, running from September 14 to September 20, 2009 – all South African citizens get in free.
To enjoy the special offer in Cape Town, enter Table Mountain National Park between 08h00 and 11h00, from September 14 to September 19. Table Mountain National Park protects the entire peninsula, combining mountain and ocean scenery with unique fauna and flora.
Please note that Boulders within the National Park is not included in this special.
To gain free entry please note that you will need to present a valid South African identity document, but children under the age of 16 will be allowed in free without proof of identity.
