Slangkop Lighthouse – Flickr pic of the day

Slangkop Lighthouse

This photograph of the Slangkop Lighthouse, at Kommetjie on the Cape Peninsula, was taken by Cape Town. Live it. Love it. group member Michael Moors.

Michael says: “This is a view of Kommetjie’s white, cast-iron Slangkop Lighthouse. It is 33m high and near Slangkop Hill.”

Slangkop is Afrikaans for “snake head”.

Do you have images of Cape Town you’d like to share with us? We’d love you to join the Cape Town. Live it. Love it. Flickr group!
