Simon’s Town – Flickr pic of the day

This image of the interesting architecture in Simon’s Town was taken by our Cape Town. Live it. Love it. group member Chris aka Frames-of-mind.

Chris says, “I was in Simon’s Town early one Sunday, with the sun rising on the other side of False Bay. The light on these old facades caught my eye.

“Cape Town has so many fascinating faces, new and old,” he continues.

Simon’s Town, a little further along the False Bay coast from Muizenberg, is some 40km (25mi) from Cape Town, which means it’s a great destination for day trips from the Mother City – either by car or by train.

Enjoy the well-preserved Victorian buildings as you wander down the town’s Historical Mile along St George’s Street.

Do you have images of Cape Town you’d like to share with us? We’d love you to join the Cape Town. Live it. Love it. Flickr group!
