Sea Point promenade sculptures – A Cape Town Tourism photo essay
I took these pics late last year when staying in Sea Point for a weekend. I was fascinated by the series of sculptures that are spread about 100m apart all along the promenade: The sculptor is Marieke Prinsloo and the series tells a story, with each sculpture having its own plaque and a few lines of text. The full story has its own website (www.walkingtheroad.com) and is really worth a visit. I found the sculptures especially appealing against the stunning backdrop of Cape Town and Lion’s Head.
