A day-trip or holiday to Zevenwacht Wine Estate in Kuils River is like a little slice of Heaven. Where else would you be able to savour the delightful tastes of superbly made wines, relax in beautiful surroundings and be pampered from head to toe all at the same venue?

A mere 45 minutes from the City Centre, Zevenwacht is the ideal breakaway spot. Situated on a vast 450 hectare plot, you will find luxurious self catering chalets and stone wall cottages nestled between the bountiful vineyards.

These homes away from home are well stocked with all the necessary amenities to make your stay a memorable one. A gorgeous pool and braai spot, just a stone’s throw away from the accommodation, makes the perfect socialising place.

If you’re feeling peckish, head over to the Zevenwacht Restaurant which has a menu and view of the lake to die for. Losing yourself in the unbelievable gastronomy while admiring the picturesque surroundings is an absolute must!

Day visitors can also enjoy the culinary delights of the restaurant by purchasing lovely picnic baskets. Filled with all kinds of tasty snacks and quite affordable, you can enjoy these baskets under the trees next to the estate’s peaceful lake.

Zevenwacht will also soon be home to the Mangwanani African Spa, which opens in February 2011. A variety of decadent treatment packages will be on offer, guaranteed to leave you happy and suitably relaxed.

The undisputed jewel in Zevenwacht’s crown is, naturally, its wine. Crafted by talented winemaker Jacques Viljoen, who uses centuries-old wine-making traditions, bottles of signature blends like The Tin Mine Red 2006 (so named because a rich acre of tin was found on the farm), 360³ Sauvignon Blanc 2008, Zevenrood 2007 and more await to delight your palate.

Wine, relaxation and beauty… what more could you possibly want or need?
