Rihanna lights up the stage in Cape Town
Natalie Roos’ body was born in Johannesburg… but her soul was always Capetonian. At the age of 14, Natalie started work in the television industry, presenting popular local kids TV show, KTV. Ten years and another TV job later (presenting celebrity gossip show JIP on Afrikaans music channel MK), Natalie made the move down to Cape Town where she started her blog, Tails of a Mermaid (www.tailsofamermaid.com). Her love for the internet and all things communication-driven became a natural progression to a career in Social Media, where she worked in an agency managing the online presence, content and reputation of various brands.
Natalie’s passions include cats, communication and Cape Town.
Fifty thousand fans, one hundred thousand eyes, one hundred thousand clapping hands and one mega star! Rihanna's sold-out concert at Greenpoint Stadium in Cape Town last night was one for the record books!
It takes a very big star to capture and hold the attention of fifty thousand screaming fans, but Rihanna managed to keep us all enthralled with her enormous stage presence and stunning dance moves. Singing live over a backtrack Riri shone bright like a diamond in her leopard-print onesie and hightop sneakers. The crowd went wild as she told the crowd, "Cape Town you look so beautiful tonight!" and couldn't take their eyes off her as she danced around the stage, performing hit after hit from her seven studio albums.
Closing the show with her most recent mega-hit, Diamonds, Riri took one last lap around the stage, donning a South African flag as a cape, to which the crowd responded with wild applause! This morning her Instagram account was updated with various images from the performance, taken by her official tour photographers, Gomillion Leupold.
