Rhodes Memorial statue – Cape Town Tourism Flickr pic of the day
The Rhodes Memorial sits at the foot of Devil’s Peak and offers visitors spectacular views across Cape Town. The memorial was designed by Sir Herbert Baker and built in 1912, to honour the former Cape Colony Prime Minister, Cecil John Rhodes.
“This shot was taken at sunrise just after I dropped my son off at school and on my way into town. I always take my camera with me as I never know when something might come up,” says Graham.
“I never get tired of driving around Cape Town – there is always something to shoot at any time of the day,” he continues.
