With the opening match of the Indian Premier League only a few days away (April 18), things are starting to heat up.

The Rajasthan Royals warm-up match against the Cape Cobras at Newlands on April 11 ended in defeat for the defending IPL champions, with the Cobras winning by 27 runs.

While the Rajasthan Royals did well in the field, they were unable to reach the target of 143 set by the Cobras, South Africa’s domestic Pro20 champions.

Scorecard: Cape Cobras 142 for 8 (Levi 36, Amit Singh 3/18) beat Rajasthan Royals 114 (Kleinveldt 4/22) by 28 runs
