At the Rajasthan Royals vs Royal Challengers Bangalore match played at Super Sport Park in Centurion last night, it came to the attention of the on-field umpires that Rajasthan Royals right-arm medium pacer Amit Singh had a suspect bowling action on certain deliveries.
After the match, in which the Rajasthan Royals reclaimed their place at the top of the DLF Indian Premier League table with a comfortable seven-wicket victory, the umpires, Daryl Harper, K Hariharan and Tyron Wijewardene, examined footage of Singh’s bowling. It was decided that further action was necessary under the Laws of Cricket section 24/3.
The IPL has referred the matter to the Rajasthan Royals’ team management and the IPL’s Technical Committee.
