MC Hammer says he came to Cape Town a year ago for the first time.
"I love the beauty of the city and I've found the people to be quite friendly. There's a lot of history here and I love history so I enjoy Cape Town and I look forward to returning again."
He did of course feature in the Castle Light television commercial, in which a barman is unable to hold on to a freezing bottle of beer and fumbles it several times before dropping it, only for MC Hammer to catch it in time.
