The fifth Vodacom Funny Festival runs at the Baxter Theatre from June 15 to July 19 for a five-week season, featuring a strong cast of local and international stand up comedians.

The award-winning show, anchored by Cape Town’s favourite son, Marc Lottering, showcases the skill of three top international specialty acts and a selection of the best stand-ups the country has to offer.

The popular festival was recently awarded “Official Event” status by Cape Town’s tourism authorities, the only comedy project in the city to have received the accolade.

Multi award-winning Japanese physical comedy duo, Gamarjobat make their first appearance on African soil, as do the UK hit musical team of The Raymond and Mr Timpkins Revue. US magician John Lenahan completes the international contingent. They are joined by comedy giants Nik Rabinowitz, Trevor Noah and Johannesburg sensation Tumi Morake.
