Wrap-up of our #LoveCapeTown Instawalk

On Monday 23rd September, we hosted our first ever #LoveCapeTown instawalk, in collaboration with the Instagramers Cape Town community. You've read what getting involved in an Instagram community entails, and you saw the infogram calling you all to participate, so here's what went down on the actual walk.

Just to recap, an instawalk is a photowalk, where people meet-up, get together and talk mobile photography. This time around we had the beautiful, rustic harbour as our backdrop and we were also privileged enough to be joined by international iPhoneography app creator, Aaron Marshall. Aaron, founder and designer of the app Over, just recently moved to Cape Town and  gave us the lowdown on his brand new app, Cape Town Love - which allows you to add font overlays to beautiful images of Cape Town. The app was created in one day! It's available in the iOS App Store and it's free. Go check it out now.

As we waited for everyone to arrive, at the meeting point: The Clock Tower, we posed for a group selfie - as igers do.

Our walk started out at the start of the bridge near the harbour. This beautiful shot was taken by Instagramer @craighowes

We walked along the harbour, passing the Alfred Mall at the V&A Waterfront, which gave us this picture perfect view of the iconic Table Mountain. Taken by Instagramer @missleilah for @lovecapetown

At sunset, we made our way back to the Clock Tower for one last shot. Taken by Instagramer @missleilah for @lovecapetown

While taking the shot above, Instagramer @mizu_takumi snuck in a "caught 'gramming" shot of most of us.

We ended off the evening with coffee from La Playa at the V&A Waterfront. While passing, Instagramer @thelawry took this slow shutter shot of the Wheel of Excellence.
